If it’s worth framing it’s worth protecting
The very thing that allows us to enjoy our artwork also works to destroy them. Ultraviolet or UV light causes irreversible damage to our framed memories turning them yellow and brittle and making their colours less vibrant. Keeping framed artwork out of direct sunlight isn’t enough. UV light is present in every light source including halogen bulbs. The single most important step to protect framed artwork is to specify the use of conservation glass featuring Truguard UV protection.
